I will have no time to spell check or look for grammar errors. Forgive me, please.
Anyway, you remember when I posted that cool photo of my kids last week in front of all of that tile? That was taken during a craft fair held by the Shriners at the Zembo Mosque in Harrisburg. My boss is a member and he invites us every year. The kids really love it so we go. I'm not crafty so I just walk around and take pictures. I have some photos of the kids doing their crafts and I'll show them to you at a later date. But tonight, I want to show you some of the features of this building. For history of it, go here. I told you, I don't have time to talk about it or do it justice. I'm sure that Fred is mad at me already.
Enjoy the photos.
Now I really got to go!
Your Friend, m.

Really enjoyed the clean laundry:) .......Been in this bldg several times and there always something new to notice, Love it thx for sharin!!
Impressive!
When in Chicago go to the Intercontinental Hotel on Michigan Ave, it was originally built in 1929 as the Medinah Athletic Club, a luxury men's club for members of the Shrine organization.
Unfortunately, in 1934 the club had been a victim of the stock-market crash and was forced to close its doors.
You can book a tour through the building for free [headphones + MP3 player]. And you'll see, when not in use among many other sights, Camelot's Hall and the Johnny Weismuller Pool on floor 12.5 [it's almost like Platform 9 3/4 in the Harry Potter books]
It's one of the unknown treasures in the Windy City.
Gorgeous photos Mark.
Can't wait to see the kids doing some crafts...now get to the laundry. Damnit.
I've never been inside a mosque (not even the one in Paris), and that's just not right for a student of architecture. I'll have to remedy that one day.
Beautiful shots.
Hi Mark, naughty boy... Just wanted to thank you for having changed the color of your text: it's MUCH better for my eyes!
Hope you have more laundry to do tomorrow, would love to see your kids doing crafts.
Kind regards, Jade
These are fabulous photos!
Wow! What a place Mark! Beautiful pictures! Love the tile and windows.

Great pictures! I didn't know there was a mosque in Harrisburg. The things you learn on the interwebs.
I knew that pic of the kids had to be in a mosque! You are a very good photographer, btw.
Wow, these photos are amazing!
