I'm much too busy to journal today. So you're only getting a very small post. Okay, which one of you just said "Thank God"? Oh, all of you? I'll just ignore that.
We visited a dear friend, and her son, in Maryland last weekend. While we were there, I was able to take a few photos of her garden. A garden of which I am very jealous.
Our back yard is way too small for my liking. And now, thanks to Fred, it is filled with a trampoline and, as of two weeks ago, a 16ft swimming pool. For a family with four black people in it, we are total White-Trash.
I never go back there now. I just sit on the front patio hoping for a neighbor to stop in with a couple enormous bottles of wine.
I did look at it, from afar, the other day. Where there is grass left, it's an overgrown mess. I'm so glad my next door neighbor's trees have grown high. At least she can't see it now. One day I'll have a pretty back yard like Kathryn's. Just not while I'm raising four rambunctious kids and a boyfriend with an Amazon account and no limit on his credit card.
I'll write about my friend, Kathryn, sometime this week if I get a chance. If not, you'll have to suffer though these short and sweet posts.
Your Friend, m.
p.s. We're going to Hershey Park tomorrow. God help me! John is at the beach with my parents. So at least I can just sit back while the younger three are on the kiddie rides. m.
