Have a seat. It's gonna be a big one!
Okay, I'm late on this one but we've been a little busy with Hurricanes and Floods and stuff. Plus, I had to write about them and so here you are. Just be happy, okay?
Anyway, we spent a ton of time at the beach and that's where a lot of these photos came from. With that said, let's get started.
Where's the kitchen sink?
No, ma'am, you don't need all that stuff at the beach. I saw you with your Family. It consisted of you, your husband, maybe your daughter and her toddler son. C'mon!Dear straight male reader,
I really do feel badly neglecting you all these years. But I do appreciate you sticking with me. Please accept this as a token of my appreciation."Jon can have 'em now"!
I guess since Kate's show was cancelled, she has no need for the kids.
Hang 10, Fred!
He looks good, doesn't he!
Awe
They are total strangers but possibly the cutest photo that I've ever taken.
Or maybe it's this one!
This kid has the life. Aren't you jealous?
Free? Really?
I just love this girl. How cute is she. It makes you feel good about Youth these days. She was nice enough to pose for me but can you believe it, I forgot to hug her. And it was Free! The man with the dragon tattoos.
Sadly, I didn't get to hug him either.
True, I could have tried but I enjoy my teeth staying in my mouth. I asked him if I could photograph him. At first, he said no, but I "buttered him up" by telling him that he was "Walking Art". And then he was puddy(I mean "Putty". Thanks Walt) in my hands. See how I risk my life for you people.
I'm a sucker for a guy with some good Tats!
Fred doesn't find me funny though.
He better hope he's not referring to me!
Skulls full of mush.
I just had to take a picture of this. When I saw it parked, I thought it was the funniest thing. Then, a driver got in it and started driving away. I wonder if she did this just to be on my Blog.
Boo!
From the Haunted House Camera. I just had to buy it.
The longest four hours of my life.
I'm beginning to hate the fact that my kids can't go five seconds without any sort of electronic device. So, in my ultimate wisdom, I told them to bring books or something to read or color because they weren't allowed to watch a movie or play their Ipods and such in the car on the way home from the beach. That decision really bit me in the ass because all they did for four straight hours was to beg me. At this point, I'll open up the field here for any advice on long trips.Keep on truckin!
While I was driving, I asked Johnny to photograph the guy driving next to us texting and smoking while driving with his knees. He didn't get the shot but this is what he did get. Yep, he's never grown out of loving the big trucks.Went to the Drive-In.
We just make it a point to go at least once a year. All I want to do is support the business because once it goes, there isn't another one in our area. My parents took us a lot when we were kids and I like to keep the memory alive. You? P.S. We saw Cowboys vs. Aliens(it was alright) and the new Planet of the Apes. Much better than the first remake.Twisted Sister
Boys, do not attempt this at home. It may look easy but believe me, you'll be sorry you did.
Take me out to the ballgame!
Our adoption agency hosted an adoption fair(?) at the local baseball game. Also, there were older kids there who were looking to be matched. Yes, another happy/sad function. And although we never actually saw the game, the kids loved riding on the blow up slide and playing the games that the agency provided. They had a good time. And I checked out a little bit of the action.
Tell me, which guy do you think owns the Barbie bag?
Talk to me.
Saw this beautiful little boy talking to the local media. He was asked what he is looking for in a Family and what he likes to do. I know, it's sad. He was the cutest kid ever in telling his story. We met him.
The next day, I emailed his caseworker. She didn't return my email. The following day, I left a voicemail message for her. She didn't return the call. I suppose she wants him to stay in Foster Care forever. I guess that's what you call "Job Security"."What the Hell"!
Yep, I got the kids working. I now have an assembly line for having the dishes done. Claire washes. Jacob rinses. Joshua drys and Johnny puts things away. Sure, we have a dishwasher but I believe the kids need to keep busy and do chores. What did I pay them, you ask? Nothing! Fred and I differ on this alot. I won't go into details but the kids prefer Fred's reward system over mine. Like I care.Hi there!
I just thought she was such a sweetie that I just had to get this shot. And before you ask, yes, we were at a red light."Dude, get out of the way"!
That's what one of them yelled at me when I stood in the middle of their bike race to get this shot. I guess I could have given them a little bit more room. Too late now!Keira turned 8
As you may remember from last month, we went to my cousin Amanda's daughter birthday party. It was the day after the Hurricane and we needed the break and the day actually turned out nice.Lean on me.
Cousin Amanda's boyfriend, Mark. He is holding my cousin Jen's son, Gavin, who is not his son but trusts him enough to go to him for comfort. How great is that! And then there's this one!
Jen's son, Ryden, who just turned 2 on 09/11/11. I know, he's a cutie, right! This photo was taken just a second before he tossed that handful of sand right into my camera. I didn't think he was so cute after that. All drama
After the Hurricane, we took a big walk. Claire held up this broken branch and said, "Daddy, take a picture of me looking sad over what the Hurricane did." How could I not? It's all a show with her, folks. It's all a show. Although I did the same thing when I was lonely."Make Room for Daddy"!
I think this shot was after the baseball game. Fred puts on a t.v show every night and watches it with the kids before we ship them off to bed. It's a big mess with fights and everything to see who can lie beside Fred. I stay out it and it gives me about 45 minutes to come down here and write in this little journal of mine.I'm beat!
Done! That wasn't too bad was it? It was an easy month and we spent a lot of time at the beach. With the children getting older, I'm finding that I like hanging out at the beach again. I've told you before, Fred and I take turns closing our eyes. It's nice. Although, if he is photographing me, who is watching the kids???
Okay, I got nothing else.
Have a good weekend!
Your Friend, m.
