"Summer breeze, makes me feel fine"

"Blowing through the Jasmine in my mind"

Last week was hot and beautiful.  Since we left the beach, it hasn't stopped raining.  And I hear it's suppose to be cold and rainy all week.

The kids mostly have shorts.  I thought that I would have more time to buy pants for them.  But now, I need to rush out and do more school shopping.  I think I must be the only Gay in the world who hates shopping. But don't worry for me.  Fred makes up for it.

Summer's not officially over but it might as well be.  It's only getting colder and there's no turning back now.

The one good thing, Fred will be closing up the pool and packing the trampoline away.  And although it will be cold, I might even hang out in the back yard for awhile.

I wanted to save some of these photos for the Official Summer's End post but I couldn't wait.  So, when you see these again in a couple of weeks, act surprised, okay?  I'm sure you can fake it.

It's week two and the kids are still "okay" with school.  John is excited to go which is making me so happy.  I really hope it last.  The boys think it's Summer Camp and Claire claims to have made Friends.  I wasn't worried for her.  I told you, she's overly dramatic.  She be Class President before you know it.

Fred and I are hoping to make it down to the beach one more time this month.  And this time, without the children.  I've never been to the beach after Labor Day.

I would just like to lie there, with my eyes closed, for hours and not have to worry about anyone drowning.

Don't get me wrong, this Summer was the easiest so far.  Because there are four of them, the kids mostly played with each other and left me alone.  I know, that sounds like lazy parenting and well, so what?

It felt so nice just to do nothing but soak up the sun.  So far, I still have my tan but soon, it will go and leave freckles in it's place.  Damn you Winter!

Met some great people while vacationing this year.  Some are now my Facebook friends, their choice.  Others, I just gave them my website address and I hope that they are reading.

I really do because the last photo in this post is one of the couple's chairs.  "Hi Mike and Mary.  Sorry about your camera.  Did you get a new one"?

Enjoy the last days of Summer. I will!
Your Friend, m.
